The 12th International Symposium on Steel Structures

Introduction

This will be the 12th in the international symposium series on steel structures organized by the Korean Society of Steel Construction. The previous symposiums from 2000 to 2021 were held in Korea with great success. This series of symposium is organized in cooperation with the International Journal of Steel Structures (IJOSS). The symposium will provide an international forum for a broad range of technical papers in steel structural research and its applications. ISSS-2023 will bring together academicians and practicing engineers to exchange new ideas, technological developments, and experiences in Steel Structures.

Call for Papers

The official language of the symposium will be English. Authors have to submit an abstract with 300-500 words. Authors of accepted abstracts are required to submit short papers for the publication in the symposium proceedings. The presenting authors of accepted short papers are required to complete pre-registration. The maximum number of short papers for each registration is limited to two.

We invite proposals for organized sessions of the ISSS-2023. If you would like to propose organized sessions, please contact us at isss@kssc.or.kr before February 28, 2023.

Important Dates

Submission of Abstract : March 31, 2023 (Extended)

Notification of Acceptance of Abstract : April 15, 2023 (Extended)

Submission of Short Paper : May 31, 2023

Pre-Registration : August 31, 2023

Publications

The symposium proceedings consisting of all accepted short papers will be published. They can also be downloaded from the Symposium website. Full-length papers after the Symposium can be submitted for the publication in the special issue of IJOSS listed on the Science Citation Index Expanded (by Thomson Reuters Scientific). Acceptance of submitted full-length papers will be decided through the peer-review process of IJOSS.
